Abby Palen (they/them/theirs) is an award winning storyteller, puppeteer, and multi-media artist. Raised in Kentucky, they have traveled and studied across the country. From crafting puppets in Vermont to keeping bees in Alaska, there's a story in every place they've been. Being present in these stories, and searching out more experience is the backbone of their artistic work. Abby is the co-founder of Rabbit Foot Puppetry, a puppeteer at Paperhand Puppet Intervention, and producer of their own solo works (Moving the Mountain and Staged). Education includes an acting BFA degree from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, working as an Apprentice to the Bread and Puppet Theatre Company, and interning with The Paperhand Puppet Intervention.
